Have a question about the fifth wheel, my trailer is sitting about a foot or maybe less, but it's higher than most trailers out here, I noticed there's a leg welded between the top of the fifth wheel and the track, can that be removed or do I need to buy another fifth wheel or slide?

I'm a newbie, the fifth wheel question might sound dumb for you all, but just curious, how to get my trailer even, it sitting way high in the front, and slouching in the rear....:biggrin_25520::biggrin_25520:

You have a high rise plate on yours it's not a big deal really mine is the same way I'm on lp22s now and I sit the same height as everybody else. It's popular in the industries with higher king pins like flatbeds and cow trailers

When I had tall 24.5s it was an issue but then again so was having stacks that could touch the moon as well. It's something that you become accustomed to over the course of your career

Oh man, going down I-44, there's some low bridges stating 15 feet, it's getting very close, I can feel the closeness, can't imagine the bridges that say 13'6 :blob6:

You need your fifth wheel height to be about 47-48 inches high for a van...

Is that 47 or 48 inches from where to where? So I can measure in the morning.

Ground to the center of the top plate if I recall correctly don't remember exactly. And regardless of what anybody will tell you 14 2 will clear 14 foot you just have to dump the suspension don't ask me how I know.

    ####ing Chicago never again

Ok perfect, will unhook in the morning, and check the measurement. Cause seems extremely high.
