GOOD LUCK!!!! I fought my 387 for months trying to find a good spot for the antenna. The best place i could find was the grab handle on the back of the sleeper using a top loaded antenna but even with that,my SWR was high because of the reflection. The only fix i have heard of for these trucks (and i asked just about every shop i found) are one of those outback mounts that are built for these trucks. I talked to two drivers who used these and they seemed to love em.

This is the link to that mount, hope posting it here is ok.

:biggrin_255:I ended using as tandard mirror mount, 4 hose clamps, two 1in h prices if rubber and a new too loaded antenna. I drilled holes in the hose clamps and used the bolts from the mount two attach the two.used the rubber pieces one industry the mount plate and on the opposite hose clamp to hold it all in place.it ain't pretty but it works

Saw them, thanks. You know what they say, "pics worth 1000 words".
I would uncoil that coax if it were me. Bundle it up in a 'S' configuration or just wad it up. A nice neat coil will hurt your signal.
