Thank you. I probably should have done it on Saturday, right after broke down. Right now it is less than 24hours until mechanic comes back. Also, the problem is - I don't know which one is leaking, or if any of them is leaking. He said "chambers are fine". I will probably wait till morning, unless cop tells me to leave.

Hard to tell from where, space is very cramped, but a lot of air noise coming out of this valve assembly. Mechanic also said "this valve is the problem", replaced it. Problem was the same after replacement. Then he said "I am confused" ))

What is the mechanics thinking as to why it is the push pull control module?

Just an FYI also if your not familiar with it "Findtruckservice" is a free app that I've had good success on finding a mechanic when broke down.

I would suggest that you cage those brakes and just carefully drive to the nearest closest safe place.

Either cage them one at a time to find the problem or cage both of them but I would get yourself off the side of the road and find someplace safe.

He first replaced that valve assembly located on the cross member, between axles. Then he ruled out brake chambers, listened to them if they leak air, also pinched air hoses on every brake chamber. Then he got inside the cab, noticed parking brake valve assembly making noice when Yellow knob pushed in, said "it's probably it, 99% sure". That was the end of his work, he said he'll get new valve assembly from a dealer on Tue morning, and will come back to install it. Hopefully he is right. But I doubt.

Anytime I've ever had air going through the push pull knobs it's been a problem outside with the chambers...

That's what I think too. But this mechanic guy got confused, and he confused me. Tomorrow he will replace push/pull valve assembly, then he will start looking at the chambers again. Just my guess.. And I already 3 days late to deliver my load that pays $10K. My $10K load will become $7K or so. This long weekend is s...t for me ))

Ya, my opinion is your mechanic is confused and doesn't know what hes doing. Unfortunately at your cost... Any good mechanic wouldn't have you sitting on the shoulder of the interstate over a holiday weekend...

With how close you are to Sacramento you should have lots of road service options.
