    Hi,

Are you having problems with the NTC 475? I am rebuilding an NTC in my 85 Pete. Hope to have it in next week.

    Dexterr Thanks this.

To answer you question, yes the engine will bolt up exactly the same. Should be a straightforward update. Is the N14 a mechanical or electronic engine, as both types were made?

    Dexterr Thanks this.

When you get the 475 out, let me know, I would be interested in buying the turbo, oil feed lines and all the exhaust and intake tubing that would go along with it.

The N14 would be rather easy to get in that truck, even if it is electronic a company called Mawk Industries can make an adapter harness.

I have a couple questions on this. I also have a 359, its the short hood. I have been thinking about swapping to a N14 as well. I talked to a guy with one but a long hood and he did it. He said it would fit in my short hood. Question is what kind of wiring harness to I need or do I have to have one made? I will probably have a shop help me so alot of the things they may be able to get me but I would like to know ahead all the pieces and so on I may need.
If anyone has some good info I would appreciate it.
Also I have been looking at N14s and see there are several options. I want to do a electronic engine. I see anywhere from 400hp to 525hp. Which should I think about. I found a redtop completely rebuilt for $10500. I found the same engine as a take out for 5k. What would be the best way to go.

    Thanks for any info

Does it still have the MVT cam followers or regular? What was it timed at and where did you have it re-timed at?

I don't know much info about about the truck I've been otr with Werner
I brought it the kenworth place in Houma, the sayer it's the advanced timing unit, when it first starts up it smokes a lot and lopes hard but stops when warm, I had it timed to the closest they can, it's worn though, they told me good luck finding one, they have wrecked trucks comes in often,
