The 379 short hood fit fine on my 377 sfa but you do need to do some modifications. Find a truck at wrecker so you can steal cab mount brackets to drop cab few inches, if it’s the old style rubber block cab should be same deal. Mine did need the springs changed as well on the front axle.

What year is your truck? Is it a unibilt sleeper?

It’s a set forward front axle? Should just be able to drop cab and install hood that’s all I did to mine. I changed front springs as well however that was only because the truck was equipped with front air ride which was replaced with an oddball spring size at some point. As far as I know the 377’s with SFA typically used same springs as 379.

When you dropped cab, did you have to change mounts or just cab bushings?

The mounts that bolt to frame. The 377 is about 2 inches higher than 379. You pretty much need to go to a wrecker to source the parts that way you’ll be able to see clearly what needs changing too! You still won’t totally have the 379 look though because no external air cleaners, but it still looks sharp I think.
