Peterbilt 379: I Want To Switch Steering Column

    I have a 2003, 379 short hood Peterbilt with a fixed steering wheel. I want to know if it is difficult to change it with a similar year tilt steering wheel? Would I need to swap the entire steering column on the inside of the truck? Also, would it matter if it came out of an extended hood 379 or are most of those setups about the same? I don't have experience with this so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Id find a good used column from similar year. Steering columns are a pretty easy to change. Ive done steering column swaps on other vehicles, never considered altering a column..
