Peterbilt 389 Muffler Bracket??

    On a 2008 or 2009 389 do they use slider cab brackets for exhaust? My 09 has just rubber bushings on brackets like the 379, however the 389 doesn't use any flex pipe. I don't understand how exhaust is able to flex with cab/ sleeper moving up and down? Can anyone load a picture of there factory brackets, must be 08 or 09 I know for sure newer ones use slider brackets. Thanks in advance!

    08 and 09s do not have the slide brackets. That came in in 2011 with SCR. The mufflers are only half height and have a flex internally inside the muffler. Look from the bottom up

    Where do you find them at? I’ve got a 08 389 and can’t find the mufflers with flex pipe anywhere.

    Yo can replace the flex. There is a window that is tack welded in the side of the muffler that can be cut out to access the flex. Are you looking for a new muffler?
