I just got a 2007 Peterbilt 385 day cab, it's got the stock headunit in there now. It says concert class on the face of it, and the cab has 4 speakers. Wondering what aftermarket single din's will fit right in, and is there just a plug and play harness I need or what?
Thanks

I wonder if you can run a single din Sony or Alpine? I saw a Pete at one of the local audio shops here in Charlotte last week.

They shouldn't be hard to swap out. Look at the connector/harness in the back. Chances are you can go to any major truck stop and get an aftermarket radio that will plug right into what you have with no adapter (probabaly delphi). Might even find one with Sirius/XM built receiver in.

Yes I do believe it is a Delphi headunit. How do I remove it from the dash? There are 4 holes (1 in each corner) that are like pin size. Do those do anything? -
There is a special tool which is essentially rigid piano wire shaped like a "U" that inserts in a pair of the holes you mention, releasing some sort of locking mechanism, use one on each side the the radio should pull out. Baling wire may work (4 short pieces) . If your new radio has the same setup (and it should be the same setup to insure no problems or hassles) it will come with this "tool" (2 of them)

Okay great. I'll buy a new headunit but I don't know which one will fit right in. I just want one w/ an aux port in front. And changing colors would be nice too. But you're not sure on any that I could go buy ASAP to get the tool!?
the CD player is broken in my stock DelphiLoJackDatHo Thanks this. -
Any audio shop sells the tools to remove the deck, same as the 88-2004 ford's

What about the antenna wire.....where does that dissconnect from? I got a 387 with the stock head unit. I pulled the dash panal out to take a peak behind...its weird, the antenna wire looks like its permenant in back of head unit then I traced the wire about ten inches and it feels like its permenant to a metal box that the ground and power wires mount permenantly too. The deck say SAT ready on front. There doesn't seem anywhere to plug an fm adapter anywhere behind the head unit....
