First off, about the name, I made it before I even owned a Paccar and was just a fan of Peterbilt trucks, especially the 359, 379, 379.

For anyone who finds this thread, I think have may have found the cause of the problems but first let me help you avoid the scam from dealerships who think it’s funny costing you money and selling you parts you don’t need for this repair to try to get dealership business on older trucks most of their mechanics don’t know #### about and don’t want to work on due to having to torch every bolt off and work with grime (oh no, actual mechanic work that costs the actual book time to do the repair meaning more money for the mechanic and less for the shop): IT’S PROBABLY NOT THAT $90 VALVE.

On that note, I might have found the culprit and will let you know if it solves the one-sided tank-filling. I found a leak at a screw that holds in the sending unit which I believe is a crack in the plastic or a bad seal if it’s a separate piece. I have never taken one apart but assume this is what is there. It’s hard to believe an air leak this small would cause a problem this big but I guess we are talking about the need for equal pressure for the tanks to equally fill. I guess I’ll find out and share afterwards.

Highly doubt that's your problem. That crack is doing nothing that your vent tubes aren't already doing or should be doing

That said, did you fix your problem? The pressure needs to be equal and this is allowing more volume to be vented. Sometimes the problem is something as simple and as small as this. I temporarily fixed it yesterday by venting the fuel cap on the non-filling side while parked but couldn’t get it to do it while driving.

If you fixed it by venting the tank with the fuel cap I'd say your vent is dickered

you were right, I did track down the problem after some more reading and a little common sense.
