I am in need of some pics from drivers that have pete's on how you have ur grounds ran for your cb radio. Please email the photos to brownandloud@hotmail.com if possible. Just purchased the new Connex 3600hp from R&R. I was running a connex 3400hp and had great reports but ran the new road and had poor results so it has to be some grounding problems. If anyone could help please do Thanks

Run your power and ground direct to the trucks batteries this will help isolate the radio from potential noise off the trucks electronics and computer.....

*disregard if your running a mechanical motor..

10 4 driver would u still run a noise filter going direct to the batteries aswell? What about grounds i know u can never have enough grounds. Well I am going to service the truck in the morning and mess with the radio after that I will run power and ground to the batteries as well any hints you can give me as far as routing wire?

as groundpounder said, run to the battery and the battery will act as a filter for noise.

I don't know that a noise filter is really needed and its the subject of HUGE debates as to whether or not they actually work.......if it were me I'd just skip the filter but if you fell you need it go ahead..

I came up off the batteries and ran thru the fire wall on the drivers side, if your in a 379 there is a fuse box with a trap door to the left of your clutch just right of that fuse box is where I worked the wires thru the fire wall...from the outside you should see some air lines feeding in and a couple small plugs that don't have air lines, just pop out one of those plugs feed your wires thru no drilling required..After that its really up to you how you want to go up to the radio mine is mounted in the headliner...

I don't have the truck at the house so I can't take any pics at the moment..
