I grew up in this town and we have never had destruction like this. My Mom and Dad still live about 2 miles from the truck stop.

It's funny how you start thinking about things when this happens. I can remember when that Petro was nothing but a field up behind the gas station that also sold Interstate Batteries. There was nothing there other than an Exxon with a game room(yep, 80's) a little place called the Jiffee-Jack that had really good burgers and a home grown grocery store on the corner.

All of my family is OK .And my heart and prayers go out to the people who work and live in the areas that got affected.

Please keep them in your prayers.

I have not seen where any drivers have been killed, not saying there wasn't.

I watched the video & the only thing I could think of was......

I hope that Swift driver was blowing his horn while backing up to create that damage.

Now, you'all quick pickin on Swifties (Not one and never will be). As I was reading this thread and watching the videos a May driver pulls next to me in a pull through spot, backs up twice as I here his beeep, beeep, beeeep. After failing to align the rig twice, driver pulls away.....hmmmmm:biggrin_25513:

After checking updated news reports, there are only 3 confirmed dead in the Glade Springs area, none of them reported to be truckers. The initial reports listed several as 'dead' that were in fact only 'missing'.
