Is this a common occurrence? Forgive me if this is well known. I searched and couldn’t find anything.

Someone is Texas (I don’t leave Oregon) used all my points (couple hundred dollars worth) in three transactions yesterday. According to the rules, I’m out of luck.

“PFJ is not responsible for any lost or stolen Cards or MyRewards® Points. MyRewards® Points and other benefits cannot be credited back to an account if they are lost or stolen. Please actively review your account and immediately notify PFJ of any discrepancies discovered.”

Just a heads up. Though, I’m not sure how you combat it, since you’ll find out after the fact, and you’re S.o.l. at that point. It’s not like they check ID at the register. So I guess use your points and keep them low. I was saving mine up in case of emergency, or came across some tool I may need.

Did you lose your card, or did someone know your personal info?

did you put your card down on the counter, and someone switched a card he had, for yours?

don't you need a PIN number to secure the card?

you have to trace back what YOU did for this to happen.

good luck with your new card/account number

This is one of the reasons I use points as I get them. I never let them add up. It seems there is always a way to lose them. I just have it for the showers mostly.

Had the samething happen about 5 years ago...

Someone (employee) in Texas stole $250 off my card when I was at home in Tennessee... found out about it about 10 days later....

Call corporate.... took about 3 weeks to get it back....

The employee got free bracelets, free ride in a nice car, and an extended stay at the gray bar motel....

Corporate can tell what store, when and who was at the till at the time AND video will show who

I never received any cards. I’ve just been punching in the account number when at the pump, or using my phone number when I go inside to buy stuff (which I rarely do, I’m usually there for fuel/DEF and nothing else).
Was fueling daily the latter half of 2021, but now I’m on a run that starts later, and there’s a fuel truck that comes by and fills before I start, so I’ve only stopped a few times this year. Aside from last night, my previous visit was about a month ago.

Had it happen in December. I think what happens is someone gets a bunch of numbers or barcodes and scans them until they find one with points and uses them.

When shippers, and receivers ask for phone #.I’m sure they can scam us.
I never let my PFJ points add up for this very reason.
All they need is our phone#.
