This flatbed company has got to be one of the best. They keep you moving, get you home when you need or want to be home and treat the drivers the way we should be treated. If you can't make money with PGT then you are doing something wrong. I drive for them right now and I have to say this is the best company I have ever worked for. The trucks are slow but you still make good money. Every thing is 100% legal as far as logs go. They do not push you. If your tired they would rather reschedule the load than have you drive unsafe. If you like running hard they have the freight to do it. If you don't Like running
hard they won't push you. They treat the drivers like gold. The owner is for the driver. He started the company with 2 trucks nearly 30 years ago and is one of the leading flatbed carriers in the USA. They pay percentage of the load. They have bonuses that are fuel and safety based and are obtainable. Any questions just ask.

Man, u sound just like a recruiter
-
I am not a recruiter. If u can look at my past posts you will see. It's mainly in the barr nunn threads. I guess your just used to drivers posting bad stuff about companies. It's bad when a driver post something good and people say u sound just like a recruiter. Ok maybe in a sense I am being a recruiter by informing other drivers about the company I drive for. I have a bunch of friends that work here and they all agree about this company. We have a bunch of guys and I mean a lot of drivers with over 15 years in here. The first company driver in the company still works here.

do they hire out of Vermont? and are they a lease op. or company driver?
-
they have a website and they sound like a decent company. i may consider them if they hire out of southern utah.

PGT: I find sorta interesting. I did a flatbed web engine search for companies hiring. pgt was one of the companies that came up. I was looking for local/regional home nightly or weekends. So i looked through there hire area's and there were many for : Pa. and MD. and they state: Home All Weekends!! I said very cool, just what i'm looking for. So i did an on-line application and sent in. Very next day i get a call from a recruiter to follow up, cool again. So i returned his call and do the phone interview and everything is going well, I ask a ton of questions always and then comes the punch line.. Recruiter says: Oh, we don't have any home weekends, its OTR home every other week end, I say, What?? I just went through all the driving job postings and they state: Home Every Weekend. Recruiter says, Oh, We save them for our best drivers thats been here for a long time!! Now i'm thinking if you save them for your best drivers thats been there a long time, why are they posted as opennings for help wanted.. (driving jobs) I have Flatbed exsperience also. Recruiter gets real short, I maintain a very calm profetional voice so as not to spook him and ask a bunch of other company questions and i can tell he gets all chimed in with talking again.. Then when i think the time is right, I re-ask hime about the home weekends and Poof!! He says you can try this company, I think they have home nightly and weekends, I (recruiter) just talked to a guy at a hiring event the other month about there jobs.. So.. The moral to the story-Question is: Does pgt have home weekend driving jobs? They advertise them.. Was the recruiter trying to fill his OTR slots? Are there any pgt recruiters on here that have a different opinion? Any employees with info or an opinion? I'd be curious to find out, I mean the job postings are there, black and white....... 11/25/2011

@Allow Me... haha.. You aren't kidding there.. and so true..
Here's another funny: Couple months ago I took a Local driving job, Haha. went thru all the hoopla.. Yadda.Yadda.Yadda.. Driving test: Hey, grab that trk. and could you run that trler up to the shop for repairs. Um, yeah, sure. Does the shop have a location? Yeah, up to the light, turn right, second drive on the left, you'll see it. I knew where it was, I wanted to see if they knew, (haha, solo drivers test, can't beat-em, and yes, I passed myself..) haha.. I'll skip to the punch line for this LOCAL assignment: Truck issued: International Condo Sleeper Trk.. and a Loose Leaf Log Book.. (2) weeks later when i got back to the local start area I parked the trk. turned in my stuff. HaHa. My wife says to me, I thought that was a local driving job?? I says yeah.. I think they meant Local: NJ, NY, Conn. Del. Local when you got to that state.... hahahah
PGT: Back to best drivers: Yupp, they saved the Best for the Best!! Thats why his load was laying in the ditch.. Umm, driver.. Thats why they put those cool lookin yellow straps on the trlers.. To secure your loads.. Now I don't claim to be the best at anything, but I'm pretty sure on this one..... (Please note: this is only one driver and doesn't acct: for all the good ones out there, But the story-line falls in to place with this one driver) -
