I love working for PGT. One week ago I went from my 2013 prostar and coverwagon. Into new 2014prostar and conastoga with tri axle trailer hauling permitted loads gross weight of 120,000lbs.

Everybody needs to remember that no matter where you work there's good and bad days everywhere.after almost 2 years. Was home all but maybe 6 weekends out of the 2 years. 2 of the weekends were my choice. I didn't want to do the extra drive home then back to drop on Monday.

Pay differs. 800 to 1200 a wk is average. Little lower around the holidays. Baltimore has a terminal. Mostly wall board. John is terminal manager. Should be able to get home every weekend. Every other weekend is guaranteed by PGTT. Ive been with PGT over 3yrs now. Their a good family orientated company. -
Youve heard nothing positive...then you have been talking to ex employees. They ask a high price for their lease purchase trucks. But they finance you, not a bank. Is no balloon payment at end. Aint many companies that will reach into their pocket and float you a loan if you blow an engine or transmission. Engine can run 28k and up. Tranny runs 7500 and up. Pgt wants their lps to succeed and will do what they can to help. But majority is up to the INDIVIDUAL to succeed, be it company driver, lease purchase or owner operator

Does PGT have a rider policy? If so, what are the requirements?
-
Yes, I think they have to be 10 yrs old. And you need to be with them around 6 months, but I dont think they really enforce the 6 month. I had my wife with me before that. Its a good place to work and there is a lot of money to be made if you work hard.
mthye38 Thanks this. -
the rider policy is 12 yrs old min. which is the federal rules. you have to fill out the request for a rider. is all about the insurance.

Sounds like a good outfit, do they take people just out of CDL school? Also I don't see Baltimore on the website, but I see a lot of trucks on 270 do they still have a terminal there?
