Pgt trucking

i like what im doing here better than i did when i was at TMC. But im not on regular linehaul either.

 

Better get used to it cause it happens all over the industry. If your trainer goes home, youll stay in a hotel, youll be out for at least 6 weeks. maybe less if your trainer determines that your skills are growing and your using your head.

 

Hey gunner, I followed you all the way through tmc on here. Was wondering where you went when you left them. Pgt takes rookies fresh out of school? Just wondering cause I am looking at tmc but know I need as many prehires as I can get in case things go screwy.

 

Im currently with btc out of memphis, they require 3 months flatbed or 6 months driving. Pgt does take students. You'll have to do 6 weeks with a trainer all at one time without hometime, unless the trainer lives near you.

 

Why did you leave Pgt? Are they still a great company?

 

The account i was on has a manager/load planner who is very abrasive. He blames the drivers for everything, even if it's out of their control. He's very disrespectful, condescending, and has a very large superiority complex. Plus he is actively in control of your miles. If you don't drive the way he wants, putting in as many miles as he wants, you start losing miles.

That account is a specilaized account and is not conducive of the rest of the company as a whole. Overall, pgt is a decent place to go
