I am getting a new phone, tired of Verizon pricing, I want to go back to a smart phone . I had a Windows one a few years back and liked it but am wondering what has the most aps? I am looking at Windows or Android, IPhone is just out of my price range. I really liked the Windows interface with my Outlook for contacts and email but they were limited on apps.
Suggestions?

Windows OS, you can forget about apps. None of the major truckstops provide apps for windows phone. You will be glad you bought IPhone if you can come up with the extra dollars. Android is robust but weak at the same time.

If you are looking for a pre-paid phone, Straight Talk has refurbished iPhone 5's for $400 sometimes. They would run on the Verizon pre-paid network.

Matter of personal choice. I have had windows phones, and android now. The interface between windows devices was nice but I find android to be more versatile. You load your outlook stuff to gmail and it all works together well, and there are Itunes patches that auto synch your music plus alot more. I will probably go Iphone here soon when I get back into the cab due to company and TS interfaces.

i've had palm, windows, blackberry, android over 4 years now.
if you want somewhat tall skinny screen. iphone.
if you want taller and wider screen. android.
i'm not a big fan of the bigger phone. but i defenitly love my screen size with the note 2. them small screens just don't cut it when it comes to every day usefullness. (internet, gps) -
i was buying for 2 weeks my Sony Xperia, i like this phone, before i have a iphone only the screen was to small for me,now with the 5 screen is better, and the xperia is waterproof

Used iPhones for 4 years. Went to Android, and you can't get me to switch back.
My main problem with iOS is that anything that you want to do with YOUR phone has to be blessed by Apple. You do things their way. Period. If you unlock ("jailbreak") your phone, the next firmware update will relock it.
Android's philosophy is that you can do whatever you want. If you break your phone's software, you own all the parts. (Reflashing the stock OS usually fixes it.) -
^^ that's sort of the point of why own an iPhone. They don't allow bad developers to produce garbage apps that can cause problems. Yes, sometimes a problem app get's through the approval process but that's the exception and not the norm. Android however, they don't care how bad the coding is, anything goes. And don't get me started on Google and their VERY invasive software at ALL levels. With an Android, you can't take a crap without them and every one of their "paying ad customers" knowing about it.

I also do that on my android for customizing. Android for me is the best. But It depends on your choice, because people has a different taste.
