It’s more Brains than brawn. Pay close attention every time they touch the tarp. Folding, lifting, covering the load.

    Luck in battle.

They do have multiple Conestoga trailers also. I don’t believe I will have the opportunity to use one of these for awhile unless I go full time with the company.

Not a chance in hell I'd run for Schneider doing drop and hook Walmart freight.

I guess I missed it though, what is "clean up" work?

Edit: Read that wrong...a clean up driver, basically a fill in. 30hrs a week? Id say go for it. Make sure they dont screw you on tarp pay though.

Hillbilly why not on the Schneider gig doing flex?

I cannot find much stuff on their flex line of employment and at present I am still waiting to hear back from the driver manager of the account to hear what he has to say. No way I sign on the dotted line without speaking with him and making a physical visit to the location.

Correct on the clean up work. Their business has grown/is growing where they have enough to keep someone busy between 20-30 hours a week. Probably more as he told me I can go full time whenever I wish, but I don’t wish to jump into anything like that at present.

A little more to the back story I guess, I am newly divorced after 16 years and I have young kids. I need to be there in their lives right now and I need local work. The fact that I have at least two companies willing to employ me at a part time rate is a huge sigh of relief. Again this is for spending money really but is also a childhood dream.

As I told a friend today I don’t believe I am destined to ever grow up as I spent the first part of my lazily life spraying water, saving little old ladies and being paid to generally have the best job in the world. Now it is for me, and I get to play.

You're obviously not some young dummy fresh out of driving school. Schneider is a bottom feeder, steering wheel holder job. Works for people that dont want to think or arent smart enough to do anything other than drive a truck straight down the road at 62mph.

Congrats on being newly divorced! You can enjoy life more now lol.

Yep. Drive clean up. Do a little traveling. Take up some schooling in something that a single Man can add to his repertoire (I always wanted to be a master chef and throw down in the kitchen. I can cook, but I’d like to be able to throw down).

Better the Man that’s already there.
