Hi there,
Ok, I failed with Schneider as I couldn't do the pull test ; 100lbs three times. I did 103, 93 and 79. So I am worried that other companies will have the same kind of tests. Do you guys and gals know what companies are the easiest to pass the physical test.
Thanks

Schneider is anal, to say the least.
Try someone good, like Magnum.
Prime is good. -

Thanks. I now know what is expected so hopefully I will beef myself up a little more and can have the strength. This test was the last test I had to do and I passed the rest no problem. Just gotta get those muscles flowing. -

Magnum will take your current Medcard if it still has 6 or more months left on it. You'll still do drug screen, obviously, but if you have a valid card now, you could sign on somewhere such as Magnum until you build your stamina back up.

Simply do not drive for someone who requires a idiotic strength test to be a steering wheel holder. But sorry that is sad you cannot pull 100 pounds. You would not last long in many trucking jobs not being able to do that. I once cranked landing gear for a girl who could not get it to raise, don’t be that girl. To bad she was ugly.

I think strength tests, agility tests, and sleep apnea tests are a good thing for this industry.
When I started, diesel was .79 a gallon, we changed our own flats on the trailers, power steering was new and a/c was a luxury. Of course that was flatbedding for Phil Byrd and the boys at Bulldog Hiway Express, and men were truckers and, well, everybody else was dispatchers or admin.
There is a huge difference between a trucker, and a truck driver. Most seat warmers today have no idea how to use a clutch, a pay phone or a map book, for Christ's sake. A good third of the drivers I see anymore waddle everywhere with untied sneakers, meatball stained shirts that don't cover their belly and shorts that look more like womens capri pants. They can hardly pull themselves back into the truck, and are so winded after fueling you think they ran a marathon. It's sad.
