Quick question. I received in the mail Saturday a
notification that my CDL physical card was due to be updated. Do I need to have my doctor do the physical so I can submit the results to the State of Indiana or should I notify my company and see if they will set up the physical?
My company should be aware my date is coming up soon anyway, shouldn't they?
    Thanks

From my experience, which has not been with that many companies, is that they will set up and pay for your physical. Yes your company should be aware of when your card expires if they are up on things but it wouldnt hurt to mention it, that way if they do pay and set it up, they wont be caught off guard.

Most companies will set up and pay for your physical, usually using a clinic of some sort.

Personally, I go to my own doctor, and give the bill to the company. My doc knows what medications I'm on, and I feel better about it.

That is what I was wondering about. I have had the same doctor for many years and I feel more comfortable there. I will ask on Monday if I could do my own and then submit the bill. I know my "white coat"syndrome won't elevate my blood pressure like it may with a doctor I am unfamiliar with.
    Thanks
