Has anyone ever used one of med recertification spots at a truck stop. Was just wondering how was your experience with that? Seems my company doesn't matter as long as they are on the goverment CDL registry board.

I get them all the time on the road. Iowa80 is my favorite place.
Skydivedavec and RogerThat72 Thank this. -
You have to make sure the doctor is certified on the national registry for dot
Skydivedavec Thanks this. -
I just got one at a 'doc in the box' in Cincinnati. My company didn't seem to care as long as they are on the register. It was still a stressful thing to go through for fear of failure. Don't forget to register your med card with your state DMV.

Works for me, I once did a Dot in Oregon 1 week before my Cert expired. But it was cheaper back home, only fifty bucks down in Miami. Dr was great...Asked my how I felt, then signed the form.
Skate-Board Thanks this. -
Nice yeah I'm thinking about doing this if I come across one. Save me time. Hopefully saves me there's no bologna from the DR
-
If I'm even within 5 weeks of my medical running out and there's a doc and nobody waiting I get one.

I'm just nervous being a bigger guy. It's like weighted on my mind. Like I'm not one of the slobs with thighs for calves and crap. It's just I don't want to hear that bologna 3 words. Sleep apnea test. But either way I'm 2 months away from my mandatory renewal so I might as well get it over with

Nice. I know I don't have it but I'm defiantly going to have to take it. So what happens when you don't have it?
