Way too many variables to make an educated answer. What is the main implementation of the truck? Exclusive highway? Off road? Short haul/long haul?
Planning on keeping till the wheels fall off?
For me, regardless of brand, the first requirement would be an 18sp manual transmission.

    TawcoTruck Thanks this.

Volvo trucks are really roomy for the driver; plenty of space for living.

KW W900, simply because it still has that classic look and it's a truck/cab that I'm used to. It also has a hanging clutch pedal that is usable for human anatomy, unlike the stupid floor mounted one in a Pete I once drove.

Snow Hater, TawcoTruck and AModelCat Thank this.

I would want a smooth ride. Volvo seems to be very rough on the highway.

    TawcoTruck Thanks this.

I think that might depend more on what suspension the truck was spec'd with, as opposed to the badge on the hood. I've driven a Vulva that was probably one of the smoothest riding trucks I've ever driven.
