Pick up truck pulling loads on a flatbed.. what's the story with that?

    I probably averaged around $2 a mile for the most part, but I worked to keep the d/h down. It was cheaper to sit a couple days that run for cheap. I did the math and was amazed.
    I did get hooked up with a few brokers who seemed to have me on speed dial because of the 'lowboy' trailer I used. I was kinda in a niche market and was learning to work it.
    The PJ trailer I used and some of the loads I got pictures of. That last one with the 10' tall radiator paid $2.40 a mile on its own (950 miles).

    The reliability of the newer pickups has definitely gone down what with the emissions and computer stuff. I wrenched Fords for along time and very seldom had any V-10s that were bad broken. The occasional one would come in on the hook but it was usually a problem from previous work. Although I paid for it at the pump (low mpg's) I can say it never left me stranded. I had to do a few 'on the road' repairs but nothing drastic.
