Last time I checked I believe you said you're doing flatbed work... You cannot compare flatbed rates to dry van rates so therefore the argument you're making is really nullified

I completely get it if you're getting 2.90 for 1700, but that's impossible here. When you're bouncing after you just got 1.80 for 500 miles, doesn't make sense to me.

Why worry about how someone else runs their truck?

If they feel its profitable to d/h 2000 mi to a load that's their business. If they won't d/h more than 10 mi no matter what a load pays, that's their business. As long as you're paying the bills on that truck, run it like you want and let everyone else do the same.

And FW, you chose to go on the team board knowing its limitations, so don't go suggesting teams get access to solo freight and not expect to get hammered for it. It's good you're trying to do something you think will make you more profitable, but you're coming off as being greedy, not just a little which isn't necessarily bad, but narcissistic type greedy, not good.

I was on the solo board and there's loads there that could go be team loads.
Heck I myself did a load fron WV to CA on the solo board. If Schneider made the team board better and more logical the random idea of giving us access to both boards wouldn't have even come up.
Some of what Schneider does on the team board is dumb...
For example loads into Michigan when theres zero loads out of Michigan and I know Schneider has loads in Michigan.
    That is just :biggrin_25510:

I've never loaded out of there but I take loads in there quite a bit. The route definitely sucks. I've got a friend that runs there very often & he back tracks 80 extra miles to stay on the interstate. Time is about the same, fuel is better because of way less hills. But me personally, I still can't justify the extra miles but it works for him.

FW... look we get it but I'm going to also tell you again you knew exactly how bad the team board was yet you chose to go over there and now you're complaining about it..get over it...it's been known for a long time that choice team board sucks...if you want to make more $$$...then your going to have to go into specialized hauling because dry van general freight is the cheapest freight in this business...

And this is why my days of pulling a dry van are numbered. Here at SNI the "good" rates going into black holes barely pay enough to cover a 100 mile DH out. And usually the load you bounce to needs to pay better than $1.70 a mile to make it work. At least to work for my business. There is still money to be made at SNI, just not near what there was last year & it's getting worse. The good news, it can only get better. Lol

How many people knew Schneider has ZERO teams loads out of Michigan?
All I'm doing is sharing my experience and the good and the bad.
Yeah I point out some bad and perhaps complain about some points here but nearly everybody on this forum complains also in one way or another.
Still so far I'm doing well enough to be content with my decision.

    sealevel and TennMan Thank this.

I think you just rubbed some people the wrong way coming on here & wanting to get a piece of what little freight us solos have to choose from. Specially since you left this side knowing what you were getting yourself into. It's good you're sharing your experience both good & bad. For me, not you, I just don't see it being that profitable to run team here. Freight is too cheap, too much dead head, too many extra miles on truck resulting in more wear & tear & such. But I commend you for doing something you believe is a better move for you. Don't worry about the people here that "blast" you.
