Why did it say "reefer fuel surcharge"?

Best thing I've read on this thread in awhile.

What do you avg all miles? That's a more important number.

Very nice. You run your butt off. That's a decent avg. I wish our rates got back up there. I was averaging that last year.

Dude you'll never get it. Until you come up with some numbers to support your claim, you have no credibility with me whatsoever. Good luck out there.

My net last year was 92000. Home every week for three days. Dry van and pulling for a mega. My truck is payed for and nothing fancy. It's not so much dry van is oversaturated. It's just oversaturated with guys who have no idea what they are doing. Dry van is good and always will be. Even when the economy completely tanks the vans will be moving.

Good points, and something that I am seeing for myself as I explore the option of my own authority. Dry Van vs. Reefer looks more and more like a toss up in terms of overall profit when you factor in the increased equipment costs, fuel costs, maintenance costs, and overall pain in the rear that comes with reefer freight.
