Have you talked to any company teams? None of this makes any sense to me. I'm pretty sure they aren't sitting or deadheading endless miles. The way the radio ads sound they are dying for teams. I was under the assumption they had more team freight than they could handle. I agree with whipper. Regardless of making money off truck payments etc, they are in the business of moving freight. The whole thing just seems odd to me.

You hit the nail on the head...Ive talked to company teams and they don't get stuck. They haul stuff I dont even see.

Once I grabbed a great paying load from Gary to PA. I found out later that load wasn't supposed to be on the board. It was a load for company drivers to get home and the dbl wanted to take it from me but couldn't because it was in violation of the contract. Another incident where some freight is for us and the good paying freight is for them.

Freight is so slow now there isn't any scrap meat left to throw on the board to keep us at bay. All that is left is fat and some grizzle.

I just got done looking at the solo board, there is plenty of stuff to connect us to another team load.

I think I'm going to switch to the solo for a while and then switch back to team a few times a year. I'm going to buy a truck first, so I won't have to renegotiate my contractor be stuck with a high weekly team payment.

The load board as explained to me shows IC the freight available relative to the % of VTL IC'S make up.
