Unfortunately no. You can wear pressed pants, collared shirts, and shine your boots, and in the end your the same as the guy walking around with a load in his pants. Not trying to complain, but it's the nature of the beast when working for a mega.

Nope we're just numbers here.Scott72, Home_on_wheels, Philly1Finest and 1 other person Thank this. -
Well, what I was getting at was pressed pants and shoe shines don't get the freight delivered. I'd like to think it is at least somewhat necessary to prove one's self to be reliable in this regard.
At a good company, that would be a good thing. -
But once they see you with a load in your pants they'll always remember you.
It's been six years but I still remember the Werner trainer poops himself thread.bigred81, matt1502, sealevel and 1 other person Thank this. -
That's not what the DI said.

Philly1Finest and mxpx148 Thank this. -
I don't think anyone will forget that one.

We are and am some point you just have to establish a cut off point of what you're willing to tolerate and what would cause you to bail. I've established that line now and if they continuously cross it I'm out. They have their line, no reason we shouldn't have ours. We give these companies way too much power.scottlav46, Philly1Finest, drvrtech77 and 3 others Thank this.

Yup gotta stand for something. I hear guys say how they had to go 120 miles to get an empty just to go back 80 miles for a load... I'd never do that. They'll have to take me off the load or better yet I'll just go home and lease on to another company tomorrow lol... Somethings you can't budge on. I'm sure they hate my voice but I know all the areas with emptys so when there is no empty at my delivery I go where I KNOW there is an empty not where some kid out of college thinks there's one at...driverdriver and Scott72 Thank this.
