    Lol!! I believe he was out of green bay and i dont feel like going up that way. Its too cold for a cracker like me. I really didn't think about putting up a fight about going on duty... i wish i had because i really didn't think there was any way around it. Hopefully I won't have a next time but this IS Schneider so we will see

    Technically going out of service is when you're going home he was under a dispatch waiting to pick up so technically he wasn't out of service...

    If I go home on a Saturday but have a load booked for Tuesday then I'm technically not out of service and can keep my trailer right?

    Not trying to start an argument because trust me I tried that before...and got my hand slapped. (The old ask for forgiveness rather than permission)

    The contract doesn't specify if you are going home or not...just anything over 24 hours and you have to give up the trailer. Because guys like me didn't always go "home" at the same location and thus could skirt the rule otherwise.

    Where did he say he was at home?... I really get sick of people that tried to twist words around to suit their own agenda... He was not out of service it was under dispatch waiting to go pick up the load if that's a little too hard for you to understand and I'm sorry I don't know what else can be done to help you

    Wow dude. I didn't say anything of the sort and was just looking to have a conversation about it. I provided an example because you said as long as a load is booked he's not OOS and that's incorrect. If you really want to be technical.. OOS is any time you aren't available to work. So yes even a 10 hour break under dispatch is considered out of service no matter where you are.

    If you book something over 24 hours later.....NO MATTER WHERE YOU ARE....SNI has the right to snag your trailer or fine you for keeping it. Where they choose to enforce it or not isn't consistent but it's in your contract...no interpretation or technicalities now kindly remove the bug up your ###

    You guys are pushovers lol.. No wonder I don't get any crazy request like that..I put my foot down when I first started and haven't been asked to do anything abnormal.. Yea I get the occasional oh your load cancelled but you can't help that.. Other than that nothing else..i would've never gave up my empty especially with a load booked.. That makes absolutely no sense to me.. So either this story is bs or sni really don't like you lol.. You have control over how you're being treated.. alot of guys here don't go chasing empties, go out of route for empties, and they dont get bothered about a trailer reposition fee.. Just saying sometimes u got to bite back.. They won't bother you with dumb stuff like that too often..

    While I agree with pushing back...as I said if SNI wants to be total dicks about they can....do to the wording of the contract. You may even get away with it time after time but if they decide to push back they can. That's all I'm saying noting more and I'm certainly not on their side.

    I have to agree with standing your ground... I've had to Stand My Ground when the box planner wanted me to go over a hundred miles to get an empty trailer when I was just a few miles away from a whole bunch of empties and I said I wasn't doing a text and I didn't back down and they ended up sending me down the street to get one... I'm glad that the people I deal with have never told me I have to give up my empty to another driver
