Most of the drivers on this thread are going broke
    And moving on.
should have asked that question before you signed up.

I've been on Choice for about 3 months...would I do it again?? Good question lol. There is a lot of BS, i.e. Ridiculous appt times, box planners sending you OOR on trailer searches/spots, cancelled loads, etc. I have also seen good paying freight slightly fade in my 3 months, but it can still be found. However, I love the freedom of getting home when I want, for however long I want...that being said, if you go home too much or for too long, you will fail. I've been getting home to NE PA just about every week for my 34, sometimes 48, and clearing 1000-1500/week pre tax after all deductions. I plan on staying out two weeks at a clip after New Years, but have had a lot of personal things going on at home.
As for advice, from my limited knowledge, study the board, take notes, study the board, deliver on time, study the board...see a trend here lol?? You'll learn the customers that load quickly, or when they usually have loads, the ones that flake and cancel half the time. As far as SNIs BS, have to learn when to be assertive and tell them you aren't going to add 98 OOR miles to get an empty for $50...I still have battles I win and some I lose...just part of the game. That being said, as much as I've #####ed and others have, I haven't found a better program out there PULLING VAN...some do better at Landstar, but just about everyone going over there struggles and pulls for dirt rates on the board until they get themselves established with a few good brokers.

    Good Luck!!

Here's my 2 cents. Wichita your in a real bad bad place. I think worse than I was in Denver at least I got paid to come home. You will be Kansas City at best. It's not easy but Schneider make it easy to sign for that truck....

I'm 1 week gone and really happy. Best of luck

South Florida but if I get anything it would be a duplex.
Nothing wrong with TN but being my house is gone I think I'd rather have a place closer to family.

Not an IC, mainly due to the honestly expressed in this thread. You have plenty of time to review what others have said throughout this thread which by the way will give you a great feel for how the program has changed.

At one point I was actively seeking to become an IC, given the direction of the program I'm moving in another direction, good luck to you and share the ups and downs along the way.
