Fair enough. And it comes with an open delivery window so that makes it even better. Although I did see that there was over 170,000 comments on that load

I've read this entire thread and am wondering if the lack of freight can be attributed to the election year. I know in oilfield you can expect it to tank every four years. My husband is making the switch from company to IC and from what I've read we couldn't have worse timing, but it is what it is. This thread was very interesting to me, as when we initially considered IC in 2015 I read every "Journey" thread just as freightwhipper did and was surprised by his opposition while doing the same "sharing". So glad you guys were able to get passed that and remain friendly. Anyway, you guys stay safe out there and thanks for all of the great information!

I know you guys aren't thrilled at the concept of more competition on the load board right now but I was wondering if you can answer a few silly questions? As stated above my husband is making the switch in a few weeks and was told to get his EIN, which of course I am in the process of doing but I am a little torn at what direction we should take. I was wondering if you went with your own authority or sni's? I realize the profit is greater with OA but so is the initial cost out. Also did you choose sole proprietor or llc? And if sole proprietor, did you use a dba, company name or just your name? And do we need an entire new checking account or just a designated savings account with x amount for company side? We were thinking 25/75 split on net. Is this 25 enough to cover taxes and a backup for maintenance or should we consider something greater? I realize this isn't the best time to join but as long as we can net 1000.00 or so a week on average the prospect of owning a new truck in a few years is worth it. I really appreciate any help. Have a great day.
