ahh. How bad can things be with a 2017 F-250?

 

As long as people are booking the cheap freight they'll keep reducing the rates until people are no longer willing to run the loads.

That's the free market for you, at least internally at Schneider. Schneider brokerage can negotiate freight rates on the true open market then "sell" it to Schneider for however much schneider can mark down the rate to.

The ICs themself are to blame for all of this. From recruiters to cheerleaders how much free positive press did Schneider get (outside of referral fees)? The only way things will improve is if the waiting list (if there even is one anymore) clears out and the number of ICs drop substantially. Then they'll have to make changes in favor of the driver if they want to keep the program going.

 

It wasn't bought with trucking Money.

I'm not saying I personally have it bad, honestly I've got it great but if the choice board is all I relied on I'd be homeless and hungry with the way it is now.

 

Just saw a ad on Atlanta Craigslist for choice.

 

"Southeastern freight is currently booming. Rates are skyrocketing to the 1.10/mile range. Come enjoy the sunny weather when other markets are freezing cold!"

Just a guess but I would say that they are afraid they won't get paid. Figure 45+ days till your first incoming $$$ under your own #s. How you going to make that weekly payment?
