SNI doesnt have to come here too look. Off the top of my head. I counted 5 choice drivers on you tube. What I learned on this forum. You don't lease a truck, where they have company drivers. The reason I'm still here. I'm too lazy to leave.

Yes you have to log orientation and are supposed to transflo the paper logs before 1st dispatch or it was how it was.

But again if I was to disregard the DOT rules I could do 6 or 7 k weekly.

I headed out to Casa Grande this week with much fear over the load board. Absolutely nothing was showing up in the area (especially since I don't see California loads).

Finally, this afternoon, one scrap paper load out of Tolleson, going back to Oklahoma popped up. Not great, but I was beginning to think I might be sitting in Arizona for a day or so.

I logged it. I never transflowed it. I was one of only three IC's in orientation, and the only one doing a lease purchase. Spent most of my time checking out the truck, and dealing with the lease. ended up leaving without sending in the logs, next thing you know a week or so had passed and I just tossed them.

I was headed to Casa also, had a load to El Paso then to Desoto.

Of course a 3 hour empty search and had to pull loads because had to then be worked into my live load.

I'm thinking about staying out of Arizona until things start to pick up again. Just less and less stuff going east out of there and I don't plan on purposely running into the mountains when it's snowing like crazy.

Really finding it hard to find anywhere that I want to run anymore. We've lost so many loads in areas that I used to run, just can't seem to find a comfort zone anymore.

Except at Schneider. Fuel goes up, rates still drop.

FSC could go up, but linehaul could still drop.

The potential for more revenue is there with a higher FSC, but the fuel costs are up as well. Good fuel economy nets you a bit more profit, but it's not a goldmine.

Many simply think they are doing way better because they focus on gross revenue numbers, not profit per mile after everything's said and done.

Yea if you're a granny driver like me you can make money on your fuel. I did when FSC was in the 45 cent range with my previous company.
