It's running nationwide with up to $20,000 sign on bonus. Probably takes 20 years for pay out and if you sneeze wrong you lose it. It's an all out blitz to fill seats.

 

Does anyone know what fees are involved for early lease turn in? Just out of curiosity

 

I think that's about all.......they're smart folks......they get their money up front.

 

They keep your maintenance account money.
They may come after you for the rest of the lease payment. Although I think it states somewhere in the contract that if you've completed x amount of time they won't but still lose the mma cash. I haven't read mine in a very long time.

 

According to what I've read in the Law they can only take or charge you what's listed in the lease agreement.

I believe since they don't report positive to the credit bureaus during the lease they can't report any negative either.

But I'm no lawyer I only retain them.

 

Re marketing fee...5k. Additional 3% if termination occurs prior to half-way point of lease completion.

Yes, the five grand is called a "Remarketing fee". I know because I'm just about ready to leave. I think I'll end up hanging on til at least June due to family events, but no guarantee.

 

My contract doesn't have a remarketing fee, I don't recall.

I remember a memo or letter they mailed after the fact but I don't recall it in my contract.
