I was one of those that's been one here for a while and should have listened :p. I had to give it a shot though...this program was the whole reason I got into trucking in the first place(you can laugh now lol). After 7 1/2 years working for the DOD, I got tired of the politics, nepotism and BS and wanted to run my own show, and if it wasn't for the constant shady moves SNU pulls and just gave us a fair shake, it would be great! I like driving, and actually like running my own show, but it's almost as if every time you start to get ahead of the game, SNI finds a way of throwing a wrench in the works. Whether it be coincidence, intentional, or just fallout from their regular business practices, I've had enough after 4 1/2 months.

This is the worse thing about schneider. I love my cruise and it's impossible to use. It is the worse piece of technology ever invented. I don't know how Meritor scammed their way into letting freightliner install this crap.

That right there is what SNI is counting on. Someone will take the cheap stuff. Heck, the rates going into PA are too cheap for me to go up there.

Either a decent savings on insurance, someone got a kickback, or a combination of both if I was a betting man.

I was stuck in OH with nothing but crap on the board and finally found a half decent load to Breinigsville. The only reason I was going to grab the latter load was because it was a little extra revenue, and I only live 30 mins from Tannersville. I had get home for a meeting with my sons teacher tomorrow afternoon anyway, but after that BS, I deadheaded 90 miles from Breinigsville. I'm about done playing the games, and if they don't like it, they could cancel my lease...I've played nice long enough :p

I also forgot the mention that when I dropped in Breinigsville and set my NAT/NAL for home, I waited about 10 mins for the workflow for home to come through until I finally said screw it and left. Assignment came in about 10-15 mins later, but couldn't see it since I was driving...the kicker was, they sent me an assignment to grab an empty to bring home! Have to call and straighten that out in the AM...wasn't about to deal with weekend support

Turn it off inside the ECM for safety reasons.

Push both up & down button simultaneously as you start the truck and it will deactivate the onguard...

Here's my week. Left the house on Monday it was crap in Denver but I had to get the broker load of spuds. Because they had to be to the people's republic by Wednesday morning (California). Then I had a little hopper load of Coke to get me up to Santa Maria . Then I had a reefer load with 6 picks going to Dallas (aka the money load). It rained 6 inches in upstate California hard to get product. But here's what the week paid to the truck (TTT)

    Spuds 1900.00
    Hopper 550.00
    Produce Load 4250.00

    Total 6,700.00 to the truck.
Total miles 2867 so $2.33 per mile.

Expenses. 1150.00 truck payment. ( it's only 866.00 with MMA. But I pay extra.

Insurance all including health. 325.00 per week

Escrow 200.00 per week plates, hud, rainy day fund etc

Taxes at 10 percent. I don't loan the government money. 670.00

    Fuel 1086.xx. I fly so 6.2 mpg

    Take Home 3269

Is money everything NO. Do I miss Schneiders drop and hooks YES.

Was it kinda a crappy week with the reefer side yes because no one had product because of the rain. Couldn't get in the fields.

Next week is my short week will bring 60 to 70% of that home. Then off for 4 days and redo.

I guess what I am saying there's lots of ways to make money out here. I found Schneider boring after 9 months. I don't miss the load board one bit. My money manager aka Dispatcher were one the exact same page. He is always working, He was an O/o for years (health) sidelined him. He finds what I want for loads then we discuss them and then and only then he books it. I see the rate con sheet before we book. It's nice on the mom and pop side.

    Be Safe Out There
