Honestly i didnt really know what i was looking at. Meaning verified or not... but i did see a bunch of those loads still around. Is freightpicker like a seniority thing? Sorry for the questions but im just trying to decide what to do...

A quick example is a load I am currently looking at and won't take. In the past, I would have jumped on it, and actually stalked the board waiting for it to show up in the past. It's only a mile from my house. Short load. 3 years ago, that load payed just shy of $3.00/mile. Today, that load pays $1.83. What's worse? It had an all day load window 3 years ago, as well as an all day unload window the next day (less than 300 mile trip). Now? live load appointment during the morning, live unload appointment the next morning.

Take most of the load board, and that is what you see for much of the freight that used to pay good.

Used to be, if a load cancelled at the last minute, it was annoying, but you could jump on the load board, and grab something else real quick, same day. Now? good luck with that.

I can only go back to 2013, but from then to now, it is night and day different. I'm not starving, but I am finding it to be twice the amount of work to try and get almost the same result.

Depends on your business plan...everyone's financial needs are different, but at 1.50/ALL MILES, I would need to run around 2500 miles to make what I brought home on average as a company driver after all expenses...I've been avg around 1.70 all miles, but it's getting harder and harder every week.

When I said verified in a couple posts, I meant confirmed as home on wheels said. Freightpicker is a third party program/service that a former IC wrote and sells as a service that automatically books loads that you add in your freightpicker queue

They can't possibly not know about it, however they don't seem to care.

But 1.83 isnt that bad... i just wouldnt like to run those short miles... one thing i want to see is if there 1k-2k mile runs over $1.40 I cant see myself trying to always find multiple loads a day... can you run long runs like twice a week?

If you don't like short runs, it will make it even harder to find decent rates

They're not kidding the rates have been falling and now they're limiting the amount of loads we can see and threatening to pull other high-dollar loads away from us
