If you are looking for an old school good ol days carrier, look into mason dixon and admiral merchant. Just big enough to get good direct freight, yet small enough you can really distinguish yourself. Maybe give sammons a glance.

It's been a slow here to. Had a very good load Monday but since then? Nothing worth hauling. There was a couple but just far enough away i couldn't get to them by the time they needed the truck so got brokered out. It can be frustrating when you get a call at noon needing to be 3 hours away by 2 to load.

Good luck with that. CWS/B&W used too be only auto freight. So in other words, cheap, cheap, cheap. I'm fairly certain that's all they still do.

I guess it helped that he was #3 seniority... He was making .90-1.10 all in the 90s.... he offered me the truck when he retired... shoulda just taken it and keep his seniority...
