It has to have an electronic engine at mercer, for elogs. Not sure how backwards compatible the qualcomm and jj keller are, but in theory you could have an 86 here. 86 was the first year of the series 60. I know a couple new guys running early 90s trucks. But keep in mind, brand new or 1986 the truck is getting an extremely thorough inspection before it gets approved. If an 86 makes it through its because it's in very good shape, mechanically and cosmetically. No peeling paint, no broken fenders or fairings, bent bumpers, etc.

All of the above sounds reasonable. Anyone with a older truck leasing on to a company should have a well kept and maintained truck. It's when a company clearly puts leasing trucks ahead of moving freight that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It's their company and they can do as they wish, and I am free to leave. Just disappointing to watch a company sink into the abyss with the rest of the megas.

I'm leaving, but not looking for general OTR freight. I'm thinking a company that has direct freight and is looking for a driver with a well maintained truck who actually brushes his teeth and puts on clean clothes everyday. It's out there. I just know it is!

It's not good when you load it at 0900, and only have 250 miles to travel and can't unload til 0800 the next morning. Factor in the loading and unloading times since both are live as well, and it's just not a good load, especially since it empties out in Topeka.
