I think his point is that pumpkin isn't exactly known for being an elite carrier. You guys have plenty of your own examples of hiring complete idiots.

All of this is much ado about nothing. Unless we're talking about improving licensing standards.TennMan Thanks this. -
I had a smart ### comment all fired up, and then I remembered when I interviewed the training manager (not sure of his title) at the bulk OC in Houston.
Me: So what are you most consistent accidents?
Him: If it's yellow and 4 feet high, we hit it.*laughs*Last edited: Feb 8, 2017

In reality I don't think there is a dimes worth of difference between any of the megas. They all bolt these expensive safety devices to their trucks so they can show the FMCSA how concerned they are about safety only to turn around and hire drivers who can't tie their shoes and drive with their mouths open. Then you have the smaller companies who hire the guys even the megas won't touch. Some real winners on that side of the coin too.
Luckily there is a exception to every rule and in this industry it's fairly easy to be the exception.
Just thinking out loud trying to find a silver lining while scrolling through .85 a mile freight.Cledus Snow, milehunter43, mxpx148 and 7 others Thank this.
