You would never be able to survive around here doing solely live loads as you said but not because of detention. When the spot market picks up those loads will pay great and go on company trucks and we will be stuck with the contract drop and hook that they have managed to drive the rates into the dirt. Only difference is when things pick up we won't have to fight so hard with the company truçks over the newly contracted cheap drop and hook.

 

Last week there where 11 loads on the board leaving a shipper going to the same receiver. Good loads but not great. Once they confirmed all 11 where gone in fifteen minutes. When they know they can cover loads that fast it's no wonder they are putting the good loads on at the last minute. When a company truck can't cover any given load there will be a hungry ic waiting to snatch it in .0001 seconds. Sni has this figured out to a science and we are just along for the ride. The only conselation to me anyway is I know it will end up burning them in the end.
I hate to sound bitter. Have always thought alot of SNI. But the truth is the truth and it is what it is I guess.

 

If it weren't for the ability to go to the house when I want I'd of been gone a year ago.

 

I think that's the only real reason a lot of us stayed.

 

Me too. I guess that's what I struggle with. Looks like they are going to make my mind up for me though. Money has never been my motivation. Quality of life has. Somehow this clown show has figured out a way to screw that up too.

 

You can go to the house when you want leased on to anybody.

 

Anytime I put in an empty exception, they tend to add a pickup empty location
