Yeah that's the new thing here. 6mo recent exp. So pretty much nobody at SNI can get on here. It's a shame but understandable. I think they are just trying to raise the bar back up to help raise rates higher for us.

I would think LS is a good fit for you. Best of luck.
Thanks!!

Seems I've read this somewhere before.

But now that FW had typed it, I guess it's the truth.

Companies make more with o/o's pulling freight anyway, why would SNI want to cut their IC's throat? Just doesn't make sense.

I always wondered about this.
If a company makes more with a company driver
Or a owner/operator. Why would they even bother
Keeping the other one around.

If one is more profitable then the other, why keep the
Other one and make less money.

Depends on the freight.

Some accounts wouldn't deal with a company that doesn't have any company trucks due to capacity.

Also dedicated as well as loads ic won't pull.

I'd bet it's about break even as for profit until you factor in carrying cost for employees.

I was at a shipper last week that I do a broker load for at least 4 times a month. So when I check in the desk girl says Paul wants to see you in his office. ( he is the broker) So she takes me back there and we start talking, He needs additional moves he knows I just leased on with this company and during the conversation he says where did I run before now I say Schneider as a O/0 he actually burst out laughing.... This company has major operations in WI and CO he said a few years ago they used Schneider during peak time. He said it was the worst logistics and on time performance of the big 3 he used that year. Swift and CR were the other 2. He said he would rather pay an guy with just a few trucks more than hope Schneider would deliver or pick up at all.

This guy pays and has great loads. If Schneider is willing to treat this company like that how many more are treated as bad or worse.

Since I have been called out on my sensitivity I would like to share a story.
I met a ic a few weeks ago with a FL classic. Many us on here have seen him. Blue truck with pink fenders. 3 million Mile truck. Has been with SNI for almost two decades. One of the nicest and most genuine dudes I have ever met. Perfectly happy running the Carolinas and netting 1500 to 2000 a week. Never once did he utter one bad word about SNI. Couldn't help but laugh when his wife called him and he pulled out a flip phone.
Two decades of safe and reliable service. I can't help but wonder what he is going to think when he gets this letter.
Thanks!!
They keep the company drivers to haul their high service $4- $5 mile loads and pay the company driver .35 a mile.

They cut the ICs that's because for every one of the good ICs that leaves there's another 5 waiting to replace us and haul freight cheaper than us.

As long as there's a demand of drivers willing to haul cheap freight things will never get better here.
Sadly that demand is massive....
