Frankly I think a driver should have a minimum one year experience in this industry before even entertaining the idea of becoming an owner operator because I think you need to know this industry before you start to try to run a business in it

 

As you'll learn 3 people at Schneider standing next to each other asked the same question together will have 3 completely different answers.

 

If you can't or won't build relationships you have no business buying a truck.

 

There are many channels of information outside of just calling a recruiter... many.. like schneider websites, SFI, and speaking with current lease operators

 

So cheap freight is fine as long as you can pick your
Own loads.

When Choice started in '07, the requirement was 1 year O/O experience now anything goes.

 

What's funny is you think you will be able to pay 5600 a month for their truck. That's hysterical. Please do so.

 

Looks like i am gonna have to get offical word on this... in due time... either way the starting point will be the same...
