I don't agree with this at all. Lots of guys buy trucks and want to be dispatched. Others just want to pick loads off a board. Not everybody wants to be independent and try to make a million dollars.

 

They're lined up because FW got their hopes up. But that ship has sailed.

Apparently you did have an interest in it since you just stated you were considering it to get in sooner.

I know, point is some guys are so dramatic you'd think they were casting for an acting gig. Are there rules? Yes.. Are we being tortured and starving? No..

 

Prime Inc will train you for your CDL, then lease you a truck as soon as you're done with your training. No 6 month wait required.

Stevens also offers a similar option, putting you in a brand new Peterbilt at a high 85cpm rate.

 

Next year SNI will be doing the same.

 

The question i really only ask about is the IC choice program... and when i heard about getting on to IC choice board had a faster route thru leasing it sparked my curiosity... but as i have come to realize there is no lease purchase in the traditional way thru SFI... just lease trucks... and after reading all the sfitrucks.com website had to offer... i will wait for the full year and just go to the dealer down the street from me and buy a tuck the traditional way...

And even consider buying some of those trucks i posted earlier for cash... That may be an even better route...

Heck after a year of company driving, with my family connections, i may just say forget IC Choice, and get my own authority... i have a list of brokers from my cousins already willing to give me freight (they are trying to get me to skip company driving and just go buy a truck now)... so i guess only time and experience will help me decide... regardless i am going company driver first...

The only thing i seem to like about IC choice is the amount of freight, and being able to make loads flow better on a day to day bases... That is not very possible to do as a carrier easily, vs having a huge point and click load board.

Like anyone here cares or listens anyway... you guys here just wanna complain, and shove your personal experiences down anyones throat who is new here... Later!
