    I didn't say 11 sni did.

Google Atlanta GA to Jonesborough tn.

85 north to 985 thru NC (not thru Chattanooga) 40 east to 26 west.

Atlanta to knoxville 75 north 40 east.

    Not the shortest way home.

Why should I have to pull an empty I didn't have to knoxville where I wasn't going out of market for 25$?

My ica had no issue and even said it was stupid and took it off but the mere fact they can ASSIGN me any task and expect me to do it classifies me as an employee not contractor.

They can't have it both ways.

    Or shouldn't be able too.

One, you signed the agreement saying you would, two, you're going to expect to get an empty near your house, and not have to bobtail back to Atlanta, even though they could make you per the agreement. That's awfully nice of them isn't it? Are you going to post that in here?

What's my point? #####ing is easy, but it's a little tougher to give praise when they don't make you do something they could easily do in return because you refused to help them out. Drivers just want everything and if they don't get it they head to the highest mountain or in this case forums, and yell yell yell.. Does Schneider do some dumb crap? You bet, but so do drivers, like delivering early knowing it hurts the account and not caring, yet companies are supposed to roll out the red carpets for them.

Well one fix would be live loads only for IC's. That would take care of that issue, but then of course we'd have drivers on the mountain yelling about detention.

The trip home was 278 without trailer with it would've been 305 but 220 of it would've been with an empty to take to a drop yard.

I didn't even have an empty.

They wanted me to go to a customer I didn't deliver to and pu empty then to sni drop yard not in atl but knoxville for 25$.

If you think that's acceptable then you're the exact type of driver they want here now.

I'd be all for live unload and load if the rates reflect that.

I don't expect the red carpet.

If I have an empty I will take it to a drop location within reason.

But I'm not going to drag one 220 miles for 25.

That's called repositioning, and it's clearly spelled out in the ICOA. Did you even read yours?

Dude, I'm not saying I like it. I hate doing it too. But I agreed to do it and it's their equipment so I do. If something is ridiculous like today I call in and request a more sensible location and usually it's not an issue. Maybe that's why they let me take empties home? ;)
