So very very glad that I slowed my "Rush to get to choice" if you could call it that. Unless something drastically changes I don't think I'll be going on the choice board in the future.
I have to wonder though. Everyone is throwing out all of these other options but I haven't seen ANYONE mention "UShip" Why is that?scythe08 Thanks this. -
SingingWolf and freightwipper Thank this.

Ya.......there's a reason no one mentions uShip. It's not a viable base to build a business on.
spyder7723 and SingingWolf Thank this. -
anyone looked into traveloko? run under their numbers, use brokers an loadboards and 70 percent of load i believe. dunno much more than that
SingingWolf Thanks this. -

I remember when Choice 1st started...... I was on the 2nd wave of drivers that were coming from another division of Schneider. Most were mileage drivers...I came from intermodal local out of charlotte. They decided to do away with Greensboro rail so that screwed me up....I liked choice(Well most drivers do because its actually better than mileage) Rates were OK. I remember I used to take a load out of Lexington NC to Kimberly Clarke in Des Plaines, Ill. I had to always steal an empty from there. Never sent any info in until I was at the next shipper, which was a place in Aurora Ill and I took that to somewhere in North Central Florida.
Then deadhead to Beech Island or Jacksonville for a load to VA. We used to just be able to drop our truck off at the shop and they'll let us know when they are done and they would just take the $ out of our settlements. I remember Air filter for my freightliner were $25 SNI price. Charlotte shop guy Lawrence was the coolest mechanic I ever met LOL.....
Then the Load out of Lexington went from like 1.38 and over a period of 4 months dropped to .84cpm. That's when I decided it was time to go!!! Best thing I was taught was that SNI doesn't really have all the freight like I thought they did. I was afraid that If SNI freight was struggling and not paying then that meant so did all other freight........ How wrong was I......CJndaTruck, T_TRUCKER., sealevel and 5 others Thank this.
