As much as I bash Schneider Stevie Wonder can work this load board for better than $1.11, that's how sad $1.11 is and reefer none the less
CJndaTruck, Hegemeister, poppapump1332 and 2 others Thank this. -
Very good to know.

As far as I know JCT ranks in the top 3 for lowest paying in the entire industry, only beaten by Stevens and TransAm.
Last I saw TransAm is .84 plus FSC if there is a carrier out there that pays lower I'd love to know.
Anyway long story short when you're working for pretty much rock bottom there's many better opportunities out there.
Frankly I'd rather take a company job teaming at Werner driving stripped Crapcadia with broken ac and hot coals under by bum with that Werner driver thats infamous for sharting himself as my team driver before I'd be an O/O running for $1.11 pulling a reefer.
That's how bad $1.11 reefer gig is in my view but that's just me.CaptainDaveG, spyder7723, poppapump1332 and 2 others Thank this. -
Oh I get it. Trust me. Odd thing is a lot of the drivers at JCT are extremely happy and clear 1200 a week steady. I just love the idea of dispatching myself...not to mention there is a terminal right in my backyard. Makes it a whole lot easier. JCT is headquartered in Oklahoma and they have about 6 to 10 drop yards in the entire country. So, this will be a major change for me. I started out at Werner so I expect the large company aspects at schnieder may be about the same as Werner. Thanks for your feedback.
PS I see 6 to 10 drop yards because every time I think I know where all the drop yards are, somebody mentions another location for a drop yard. I've been with JCT 2.5 years and just heard about another drop yard I've never seen.
PSS And my last two paychecks at JCT have been 1195 and 1340, this week will be 750 on a short week.Last edited: Jun 17, 2017

$1200-1300 on a week where everything goes perfect, then you have to pay more taxes than a company driver and no benefits.
I made $1200-$1300 with Crete as a company driver with less than one year experience. Why lease a truck to earn less money, less benefits and more responsibility and stress?
Biggest of all if a company driver takes a week off it costs them nothing, if we take a week off that overhead costs are still there. My truck payments are $780 a week. One week off and dig yourself out at a $1.11 ? yeah nope
sucks!
yeah gtfo of JCTspyder7723 and kanidana Thank this. -

Lots of content folks at sni but, a lot of failures, too. Just be sure you're not jumping from the pan to the fire.
Having been at both places (7yrs co. driver at sni) I would hazard a guess that not only would you be satisfied with sni but would also make consistently more. The only negative I see is more bs/micro managing....no, wait...the biggest headache is (non)support shift. I left on good terms and still recommend them to this day.
Self dispatch would be really nice to have even though it requires some work and commitment but the additional control you would have is huge.
I think you know I'm satisfied in my current roll but do see sni as a step up.
Good luck, man.
TAkanidana Thanks this.
