Sounds like you've got a good gig now. That's cool man. Love to see guys succeeding & having fun.

You've got a good job. If a guy gets into being an o/o for the money he'll be disappointed. I know there are some jobs that have a better compensation plan than what I have as an o/o but I prefer to be an o/o over an employee. Not that one is better than the other, just the way I choose to make my money. I enjoy what I do & that's half the battle.

I agree miss being an o/o would go back if I could buy an older truck without the emission issues.

Just got get one then. Lots of guys running them.
Emissions aren't much of an issue once a guys learns about them & how to take care of them. They've gotten much more reliable in the last couple years.

Everybody wants and needs are different. Some people are are high risk high reward some less risk less reward. As long as one is happy does it really matter how they achieve as long as it's not illegal or immoral. They know the plus minus of the deal going into it.

I've had drivers want to ask me questions about choice when i was there and the first thing they ask..."how many miles a week are you getting?"...i told them i dont look at miles but at revenue and the response i get..they walk away because they evidently don't want to hear the truth...ive also run across an ic in laredo who was asking other Ic's to deliver his load so he could finish his reset...then deadhead 430mi to ft worth to pick up 44k lb pet food load going to tractor supply in casa grande az for $1.39 before dh...i told him theres 2 loads here going to wilmer that are ready to roll now...he said nope..i dont operate like rest of you..i drive 75-80mph everywhere i go...i told him that's a lot of wasted fuel..his response..."I'm not going burn any fuel really"...these are the guys sni wants...

Wow, and didn't you used to complain all the time when you had to sit in a dock for long with Schneider? Sit and wait is what reefers all about especially around 1am with about 100 other drivers lined up to get in that food warehouse gate so they can hurry up and hire a lumper? LOL. Good luck bud.
