I wouldn't listen to anything Ike Stephens says or the truckers Roach... Both of them are putting out YouTube videos of heavy recruiting like there's no tomorrow... Both of them are extremely ignorant and I'm more concerned with recruiting dollars than they are anything else...

Didn't you use to argue with me about how reefers suck when I said that's where the money is?HalpinUout Thanks this.

That was before the I/C program went to hell, wasn't it?driverdriver Thanks this.

To be fair, you were warned of that very thing. I've had drivers follow my truck to customers ,trying to steal our contracts.TennMan Thanks this.

well, "to be fair" I don't recall Whipper ever saying specifically where he was picking up and delivering.......just harping on how much money he was making......sooooooo, (but, yeah, he was warned more than once).Home_on_wheels and TennMan Thank this.

He was describing his freightlanes From point A to point B and sharing the rates . Anyone willing to sit down and study his post and take notes on the load board for a few weeks could have figured it. He got as far as page 12 before he was called on his oversharing.
It was a great thread and most likely contributed a good deal for people wondering what choices potential was.TennMan Thanks this. -
Maybe you missed the part where I said "reefer as a company driver" and as a company driver that is not where the money is at.
Just for one example when I was with Crete's reefer side "Shaffer" I saw I made less money than the guys on the dry Van side even though I was paid a few cents per mile higher.
Why? all the waiting around, crazy appointments, and much less drop/hooks.
Reefer is horrible as company driver.
It's more work and bs and for that company guys should earn a lot more than the Van guys but generally they don't, many times even less than Van drivers.
Really all come back to the pay per mile scam in the industry.
O/O side is a completely different IF you have your own authority or are getting percentage.Western flyer Thanks this. -
uh huh and he who shall not be named is asking for "donations" on youtube.
drvrtech77 Thanks this. -
The choice program would of gotten to where it is now anyway but, this thread got it here much sooner.

While I got a lot of hate there also were many that thanked me and the info helped making their decision either way greatly. While most overlook those comments, I didn't.
However yes I agree at times I was too specific and in helping others I hurt myself. While I believe in us helping each other and all working towards avoiding cheap freight you all are also my competition too lol. There's a fine line between the two.rickybobby, scythe08 and mickeyrat Thank this.
