sooooo......if I give up the plate at the OC, how do I get home??
Wrapping it up, guys. Did my road test (smoked it) and physical for AAA Cooper. Gonna go out for 1 more week and hang it up.
I'm not gonna hate on Schneider, they've been pretty good to me. But opportunity ran head first into preparation, and here I am. I was on my way to look at a new truck and the manager from Cooper rang me up with an offer. 3-4 hours of lead man on the outbound dock and then turn Atlanta. Those of you who have been to Albany GA know just how easy a turn that is. Cooper is just off 300 (on the way to Miller) and then it's 300 to 75 to 675 and you're there. 300 +/- miles a night plus 4 hours of fairly easy dock work.......and I get to be home every day (which made my wife very happy).
Again, I'm not gonna hate on Schneider, they were my first and only driving job. Sure, they could do some things better and they could be more honest about some things.....(I will never understand why a multi-billion corporation feels the need to mislead people, but, whatever)......but I think in a lot of ways they do try to make things better. I'll always have a pretty good opinion of Schneider and will always recommend them to new drivers.
Rob L. and Sarah C. were the best to me and they made an ugly job in an uglier profession somewhat happier when I needed them.
Happy days.........or I might be back

This is why I love choice...lack of experience.

Usually where you are going to can give you a temp tag and cab card. When I left I just drove over to get my plate at DMV and you can't have two plates registered to the power unit. I did have insurance in place. I would think most DOT would understand your in transit and have a plan to get it plated.

Got my own authority. As soon as I get the green light from FMCSA, heading to Little Rock to take care of IRP and IFTA, then signing papers in trailer and picking it up at Great Dane in Little Rock.

Just drive it down. You won't have an issue
