Not sure when you were here but they've picked up a bunch just in the last few months. I sit by choice not because I can't find freight to run. Yes they have cheap freight but I haven't pulled anything cheaper than $1.24 a mile. I used to have to pull a lot for Schneider for less than $1 a mile to get out of where I live.

When I say Mercer is better for me it's not just about money. It's a better quality of trucking life overall for me. But that does include more profit going to my bank account.

Yes, there is a lot of $2 a mile + freight running intermediate to long miles but the majority of loads are still in the $1.35-$1.60 range. Not near as much of the cheap crap though.

That's all miles, not loaded. And also averages mean nothing. every company has a good chunk of folks that jyst can't figure out how to make money, say 20%. That 20 percent really drags the average down.

And we are back to mine is bigger than yours again I see.
Who cares as long as the individual is happy with their Situation what difference does it make. Who is to judge what makes someone content? As long it's not illegal or injuring some one who cares

Most of us are in agreement with this. What works best for me, won't necessarily work best for john or tim, and vice versa. There simply is no best carrier.

If all these Schneider drivers refused all the garbage freight I'm sure the program would look a lot different than it does now and many of us would still be there.
Many drivers there now happy just to earn a little something while driving 70+ mph hauling 1000+ mile light loads paying sub $1 a mile.
@drvrtech77 knows what I'm talking about, he's posted stories of some of the clowns he's bumped into.

Sounds all pleasant if someone is happy that that's all that matters and should let things be.. that is unless it does cause harm to others.
Why do soo many drivers always tell others "say no to cheap freight"?
Because when you do it does cause harm to others, what happened to Schneider is a Prime example of that.

drvrtech77, PoleCrusher and spyder7723 Thank this.
