Compared to other lease purchase programs especially from Megas, Schneider probably got the best set up.... Granted it, still a bad business move IMO but compared to others, its probably the best.

Depends on the carrier you were leased to. Not all are created equally.

As for dealing with brokers and the ease of finding good loads, right now it's like shooting fish in a barrel. The market is just that good. Take advantage of this market to build a solid reputation with brokers that have a large selection of good freight. When the market tanks that reputation will be the difference I being able to get a half way decent rate and sitting for days. And make no mistake, the market will tank again.

Do you know at the end of the lease with sfi do you own the truck or do you still have to purchase the truck at the end of the lease?

I was leased to Landstar and had a grand baby and my wife wanted me to come off the road in December, I was upside down on my truck and trailer and had to let it go back, it was in my wife's name but I don't have the money for a down payment for a new or used truck, been selling cars since December and it ain't getting it, I just hate driving for someone else and want to have a little freedom to choose where and when I want to go. So that is why I'm looking at Schneider, I talked to Colonial but they do not give you the truck at the end, anybody got a better suggestion?

better suggestion: The old fashion way. Fix your credit and build up a down payment plus reserve fund.
