I echo this. If I had a choice it's what I would have done. Not trying to scare you and other people may have better advice, particularly people who run the area regularly, but when I was driving through there I thought to myself this place would be more appropriate for a horse and buggy delivery service rather than a 53 foot trailer.

There's nothing I can do, earliest I can get there will be morning rush hour.
I can already tell there's no way I'll be able to get in that dock, especially with cars parked on the street.
I really didn't want to do this load, I told the broker I wasn't interested before even hearing what he would offer or me giving a number.
Said I just didn't want to do it, these loads pay enough worth the hassle, stress, tolls and garbage coming out. He asked me what it would take for me to do it, I gave him a ridiculous astronomical number. Long story said after some crying on his part he gave me what I asked for. I couldn't believe it so here I go to brooklyn.

I've noticed many times now a broker will take a loss, even a big one to get a load covered. They even openly hint from time to time they will lose their customer if they don't get the job done.

Exactly. The saying "money doesn't bring happiness" fits dealing with Brooklyn. I don't care what it pays. My truck won't be touching down on that soil.

My first time I went to Brooklyn I was calling places that was 2 or 3 miles away for Chinese delivery and they all kept saying I was to far away... Couldn't believe it. Finally got a place abouy a half mile awat that would deliver, and here comes my delivery some little Chinese guy on a Bicycle. With all the congestion that's how they roll for delivery in Brooklyn. LOL

I feel you, I pretty much am the same way 99.9999% of the time. However I will still go pretty much anywhere though if and only if it pays enough to lure me to do it.

You'll be good man. At least now that's 1 more place you can say you have been to. Who knows you may not think it's horrible and start taking good paying loads in the future to there. At least you got a team mate to get your through and be a spotter for backing into tight docks there.

I need a boat load of money to go into a nightmare like this, I'm sure many people cover this lane way less than I'd do it for. This is likely just a one off emergency must be covered load.

lol no this one ain't TQL
